NSD VCMP Challenge #4 - Make a card using a Scrapbook Sketch

This is my final card for the VCMP....I made it, I did all 8!!  This was the most difficult but turned out to be one of my favorites.  I chose to make an Any Hero card.  The paper is from Peebles line called Let Freedom Ring.  The sentiment stamp is a stamp by Creative Clear Stamps. I found it at a LSS when I was on a business trip to Erie PA.  I LOVE this stamp!!  The sketch is from creative scrappers.blogspot. I am posting the card followed by the sketch.  I like how this translated from a scrapbook page to a card.

NSD VCMP Challenge #6 - Any Hero card using a photo

Here is an Any Hero card using a photo of my dog Olivia.  Olivia is a 2 year old Shorky (Shu Tzu/Yorkie mix)  The paper pad is Friends Furever by We R Memory Keepers.  Fun pet papers!  Sentiment stamp is from Paper Smooches.

NSD VCMP Challenge # 5 - OWH Sketch #171

OWH sketch #171.  This was a fun sketch that I am sure I will make again.  The pattern paper is from the 6x6 pad Awesome by Simple Stories. This is a great paper pad for masculine cards.  The sentiment is by deadbeat designs.

NSD VCMP Challenge #3 - Romance card from a tutorial

OWH VCMP Challenge #3 was to make a romance card using an OWH tutorial.  The patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pad called Swoon by Little Yellow Bicycle.  The border punch is a Martha Stewart.  (the photo is not black and white)

NSD VCMP Challenge #8 - Googly eyes!!!

The final challenge was a 'bonus' challenge from Sandy to use googly eyes on a card.  This card was so much fun!  The image and sentiment are from Paper Smooches.  The pattern paper is from 6x6 pad by Little Yellow Bicycle called Splash.  This paper pad has some cute papers. It also uses OWH sketch #125.

NSD VCMP Challenge #7 - Summer time card

Challenge #7 was to make a summer time card.  This cute image is from Little Miss Muffett and the paper is from a 6x6 pad by Carta Bella called Alphabet Junction.  I used OWH sketch #1. I used glossy accents (for the first time ever) on the ice cream.

NSD VCMP Challenge #2 - Kid card from a sketch

The second challenge was to make a card for a child using a sketch.  This fun Mickey Mouse card uses paper by Queen & Co and OWH sketch #44.  The Micky is a very large sticker that was of his entire body.  I cut it to fit the card.  I think it turned out cute.

NSD VCMP Challenge #1 ODBD - Miss You card

This weekend was National Scrapbook Day and OWH had a Virtual Cardmaking Party.  There were challenges to make 8 cards.  I have completed 4 so far.  I was hoping to post them in order, but decided to go ahead and post what I have done.  The first one is for the ODBD May challenge.  The challenge was to make a miss you card.

The image is from Saturated Canary and the paper is from a  MME 6x6 pad called Blush.

Birthday card for Nate

I have been wanting to make a card with this awesome digi stamp from Redonkulous Designs and since I needed a card for my great nephew's birthday lunch today and he plays soccer it was a perfect fit.  I used his team colors. I am planning to use this digi to make some OWH cards as well.  They also have  a cute girl soccer digi I am going to have to buy.

Scrappy Card

Yesterday I posted a card to OWH facebook and I got several requests for the measurements.  Here is a link to the original card I pinned on Pinterest

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2232518

Here are versions of the card that I made followed by the measurements for the card.
This card is great for using up all those little scraps, especially those left when you are working
on a 6X6 paper pad challenge.

My new Copic Storage Box

I went to the Copic certification classes about a month ago. A lady at the class had a fabulous copic storage box. I got the info on where she got it and I ordered one. A local couple makes them. It holds about 350 markers. (I wish I had them all to fill it up!) Here are some pictures of the outside and inside. The box is from Target. The grid is from Lowe's. It is nailed to some wood to make it stay in place. It's similar to those that people make in that plastic box, but this one is Pretty!!

Here is the top of the box....

From the side.....

and the inside.....
